Tracy Finnegan

President and Principal Consultant

Tracy Finnegan has over 15 years of extensive experience in the water and wastewater arena. At one point she worked with a forty two billion dollar global company. She worked many sides of the business, from Research, to sales and marketing, engineering, training, audits,  to technical customer support. She is an energetic, innovative leader with exceptional, problem solving initiative. Her proven strengths in strategic planning, competitive analyses and new business development consistently met or exceeded goals for growth and profitability. She has an innovative flair for recognizing new market opportunities with outstanding business acumen. She is detail oriented and proficient at customer satisfaction and follow-up.

Tracy created a significant number of information knowledge systems, many computer based sales tools, developed a hands-on just in time training course, numerous customer presentations, to be used by over 1500 sales reps in 126 countries.

She designed and implemented a central global database to house technical knowledge support tools. She also established and led customer seminars, supported trade shows and hosted hospitality suites.

She participated on acquisition team to evaluate key manufacturers and innovative technology. Part of that process involved working on due diligence, developing marketing plans, examining product mix, evaluating production capabilities, establishing client base evaluations, setting up corporate patents and trademarks, reviewing existing sales, research capabilities and service levels of expertise. She has significant experience with most of the suppliers in the wastewater market and due to her broad knowledge of the markets and players, she was able to negotiate with a broad range of suppliers that resulted in a 20% reduction in costs of key materials.

Tracy has extensive research and technical expertise. She has evaluated and audited approximately 6-7000 customer wastewater systems and delivered process recommendations that increased efficiency, decreased compliance violations and reduced total costs of operation from  25- 50%. She instituted Best Practices and identified Industry benchmarks that helped her customers identify areas for optimization and achieve significant operational improvements.

Tracy has taught biological wastewater process control to hundreds of operators and engineers for over 15 years and performed audits and troubleshooting for ~5-6000 industrial and municipal treatment plants.  She has instructed many hands on training classes for wastewater Treatment plants. Some areas covered process equipment, troubleshooting, wastewater microbiology, Filamentous identification, Beneficial Reuse, Biosolids, plant optimization.

She is an author in WEFTEC's Wastewater MicroBiology- The Microlife book, and has written 6 training CD's for Environmental Leverage.. She has been published in many global magazines.

She launched the Nalco MicroSolution’s SM research lab and established it as worldwide benchmark standard for testing and analyses to monitor and control biological wastewater systems. While in research, she analyzed existing products and developed new, proprietary products to penetrate markets and increase sales and customer accounts by 75% and decrease attrition. She also provided consulting and onsite training for customers. She has written and developed Wastewater training materials and manuals covering all areas of wastewater, microbiology and Filamentous Identification.

During her time with Ondeo Industrial Solutions she participated and led technical audit teams to develop dBOOM project scope, operations plan, co-product development strategy, beneficial reuse plans, system operations and maintenance, engineering and design, process optimization, reuse and recycle or ZLD strategies.
