Environmental Wastewater System Evaluation- Troubleshooting and Proactive Audits

There are two times an audit team is called in. One you would like to avoid. This is the oops or upset condition when unavoidable things happen to your plant and you cannot possibly control it without significant costs incurred or permit violations occurring. Our team of experts can come in quickly and help you identify causes and help you implement controls to quickly remedy the situation and possibly avoid re-occurrences in the future.

Examples of critical situations that needed immediate solutions are high Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) loadings that can incur permit violations or increases in surcharges. Increases in Total Suspended Solids (TSS) due to overloaded systems or hydraulic washout. Significant ammonia increases that can cause serious nitrification problems. Temperature or pH fluctuations that cause biomass upsets. Filamentous bulking and foaming problems or increase in sludge generation.

Other times, a proactive audit can identify ways to optimize the system, make the plant run more efficiently, identify ways to cut costs, rearrange aerators, optimize energy uses or cut chemical costs by changing dosage needs, actual injection points, combinations or speed of belts or pumps.

A fully detailed final report is issued with process recommendations, system changes, areas for optimization and increased efficiency.

Beneficial reuse of side streams, identification of incoming streams and problem areas or just simple housekeeping procedures that might be overlooked can be established.
