All things must take in nourishment. How is it done under the microscope?

These photomicrographs were taken from wastewater samples. Bright Field, Dark Field, and

Phase contrast were used. Most of the objectives used were 400x or 1000x.

Come take a closer look at the amazing world under the microscope!

 

These rotifers look hungry

You can see the movement in the water

  

The amoeba better watch, this stalked ciliate is ready to pounce

These flagellates found out the hard way the spikes on this amoebae are sharp

You can try to run but you can't hide

So who is trying to eat who? The amoeba or the ciliate?
