Higher Life forms CDs- These three CDs in one have hundreds of photos and videos of the microorganisms observed under the microscope. It is one thing to read about it in a book, another to see examples and videos of actual organisms using different magnifications. 40x, 100x, 400x and 1000x illuminations are used. Bright Field, dark, phase contrast, and inverted images give you a look at these organisms from all sizes and lighting. Gram, Neisser and India Ink stains as well as some Lactophenol Cotton Blue stains may be used on some photos. Tip sheet on how to take your own photos is also included. $59.95

Biological Wastewater Treatment Seminar Hands on classes

Overview
This seminar will present the methodologies and laboratory techniques necessary to control the activated sludge process with an emphasis on process monitoring and trouble shooting. These approaches are equally applicable to domestic and industrial facilities. Past participants from industries such as refining, petrochemical, meat packing, food processing and pulp/paper have been successful in applying these methods to control their processes. The course will consist of lecture and demonstrations of certain laboratory procedures. Training on microscopic analyses will be included.

Earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Operator Training and Certification.

Earn CEU's towards your state requirements for Operator certification. We can work with all municipal and Industrial facilities to create a training program developed to provide you and your personnel training on the subjects that you need specific to your plant. Advanced Filamentous Identification for Dummies!!!

We have had tons of people ask us to train them on how to perform a Filamentous Identification. After seeing thousands of sample, you start to learn a few tricks.

Remember, the most important part in performing the filamentous identification is in learning which process changes to make to the plant based upon the analyses.

Getting every single filament in the sample with the "correct" filamentous identification is not as important as figuring out what is wrong with the plant. What is going on that is making the filaments grow out of control, how to fix it and run the plant the most efficiently is really what is critical!

We have a few tricks up our sleeve that can make it a bit easier to decide what is wrong, which filaments are present and more importantly, how to fix the plant long term!!!
