Biological Wastewater Treatment Seminar

Earn Wastewater Operator CEU’s!

This training course is  designed to help improve your knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations. The class can provide training credits to maintain their wastewater certification with CEU’s or continuing education units.

Biological Seminar

We had our first public customer seminar  November '04. It was such a great success, and we have had quite a few requests to put on more. So, here is our  schedule for the year and some examples of the types of classes we conduct. Class structure as well as topic are flexible.

Overview

This seminar will present the methodologies and laboratory techniques necessary to control the activated sludge process with an emphasis on process monitoring and trouble shooting. These approaches are equally applicable to domestic and industrial facilities. Past participants from industries such as refining, petrochemical, meat packing, food processing and pulp/paper have been successful in applying these methods to control their processes. The course will consist of lecture and demonstrations of certain laboratory procedures. Training on microscopic analyses will be included in each class.

Course Materials

Each attendee will receive complete class notes and a Wastewater Microscopic Training CD valued at $250.00.

Who should attend?

The course is designed for all wastewater professionals, particularly operations personnel, such as operators, engineers and laboratory personnel. The course size is limited to the first 12 people for this first class.

Accreditation

Continuing Education Units (CEU) will probably be available to those who attend

Please issue CEU: Yesq Noq

This 2-day (16 hour- 16 CEU's) course is approved as Refresher Training for our Wastewater Operators who currently hold certifications in Wastewater Collection - Level I and Wastewater Treatment – Level I in Louisiana.  ( CEU's are transferable to other states)

Wastewater Process Control

Troubleshooting:Visual Observations, Monitor and Control

( This session is part of the training class that we normally

include in our Wastewater Seminars.)

Our class in November '04 was a great success. We not only learned in a class room environment, we applied some of the troubleshooting materials on a walk-through of a wastewater treatment plant. We performed lab tests and we performed a wastewater biomass analyses on some of the samples from a few of the attendees' wastewater treatment plant MLSS.

Thanks again to Andy Warmus and the Village of Algonquin for being such a great host!

Here are some of our other classes and seminars. Part of our training includes hands on lab work and tours of the plant to point out troubleshooting areas

Here is our class in Watertown

We just finished a great Filamentous Identification Class in Ottawa. Thanks again to the City of Ottawa and Bob Schull

Earn CEU's towards your state requirements for Operator certification. We can work with all municipal and Industrial facilities to create a training program developed to provide you and your personnel training on the subjects that you need specific to your plant. A variety of topics can be covered.

There are  new regulations that require operators to complete a certain amount of hours of training each year and  additional  hours every three (3) years. Requirements do vary by state. Continuing education units or credits may vary by content applicability and state requirements.

All CEU's for initial qualifications or certificate renewal shall be subject to review for approval to insure that the training is applicable to wastewater treatment facility operation and meets CEU criteria.

Example of CEU's provided to operators that attended onsite training classes at their facility provided by Environmental Leverage. 6 CEU's were provided for two half days of training.
