Mystery Bug of the Month

April-06

Ok, it is getting close to springtime but it looks like a lady bug crawling around?. . . . .

Well, it is not quite a ladybug , but it definitely is branching! Yes, these photos were taken under the microscope! They do make cool photos and artwork sometimes!!!!

These photomicrographs were taken from a municipal wastewater sample.  Most of the objectives used were  40x and 100x. Some photos were taken at 400x and 1000x for enlargements.

Come take a closer look at the amazing world under the microscope!

Look at all the hairs

Wow, just changing the size makes everything look completely different!

Always zoom in under the microscope to see more details and a totally different perspective.

You might be surprised what you find! It also makes it easier to identify when you come in closer and can see more details.
