Leroy Swenson

Senior Technical Consultant

Leroy has thirty-six years experience in designing, starting up and troubleshooting raw water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants including biological systems, dewatering equipment and solids-liquid separation processes. Leroy Swenson has been troubleshooting raw water and wastewater treatment systems for 36 years, helping customers find clear solutions to sometimes murky problems. In fact, you could say that making things “clear” is one of his prime areas of expertise, especially with regard to the design, installation, and operation of clarification filters, thickeners, air flotation, and dewatering devices. By handling nearly 50 customer projects every year, Leroy has won a loyal following.

Leroy has an excellent engineering background, especially in the design, installation and operation of clarification equipment, filters, thickeners, dissolved and induced air flotation, biological processes, physical/chemical processes and dewatering devices. Experienced in water treatment chemistry, including cold lime softening and metals removal. Leroy can evaluate the operating performance of raw water preparation facilities, wastewater treatment plants, and solid-liquid separation equipment to make comparisons against industrial norms. He is also knowledgeable on water reuse and recycle systems commonly encountered in industry.

When Leroy worked for Ondeo as a Senior Consultant in Water & Wastewater Treatment and Liquids/Solids Separation, Leroy provides very useful and very clear advice to his clients. When a major electronics plant was hit with large fines for effluent discharge violations, Leroy analyzed the system and made recommendations that immediately eliminated the problem. In recognition of Leroy’s efforts, a senior manager sent a letter that read, “Thanks for your great report on our three clarifiers! It’s one of the very few I’ve gotten over the years that isn’t 90% fluff. We have been operating the clarifiers per your recommendations for two months now and performance has been very satisfactory.” Downtime Is No Option
